Hi, I’m Crawf…

…I was born and raised in Yorkshire, in the north of England. While I had a relatively happy childhood, I struggled with depression and anxiety in early adulthood. To escape the pain, I threw myself into work, hoping something would pull me away from those feelings.

When I moved to Australia 20 years ago, I believed I had left my past behind. With a wonderful job and a bright future, I hoped for peace, but a deep unhappiness lingered. Seeking therapy was a turning point. Through it, I learned to confront my pain and find forgiveness, which provided immense relief and altered my life’s path.

As I explored healing, I transitioned from corporate life to yoga, eventually opening a studio. Teaching deepened my understanding of how movement and mindfulness could calm the mind. I was drawn to Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to explore myself further, and IFS transformed my relationship with my inner world. It taught me that my struggles weren’t things to suppress but parts of me with their own stories and needs. IFS helped me connect compassionately with these parts and discover the healing presence of my Self, bringing me greater acceptance and liberation from old patterns.

After closing my studio, I pursued a master’s in counselling and became a certified IFS therapist. I am also trained in other approaches, including Emotion-Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Meditation and mindfulness are central to my daily routine and help me stay grounded in my work with clients.

My journey has shown me that my true purpose is to help others. I believe that meaning and connection are essential for happiness, and I feel deeply grateful to be on this path. I hope one day to support you on yours.
